Fashionable Folk Costumes:
In almost all countries in the world, with the very possible exception of rural areas, people tend to wear what is a kind of Americanized, corporate kind of wear, often commonly known as "street clothes," with traditional clothing often reserved for special occasions. Only a century ago, most people commonly wore the traditional clothing of the country they live in. The ancient clothes of the past are second-place to the new, modern clothes of the 21th century. Or are they? (Insert dramatic facial expressions here.)
Well, many cultures are combining these "street clothes" with traditional designs. This page will look at traditional costumes and newer costumes.
American:
Since the world wears "American" clothes, let's start off with "Native American" clothing. You may be familiar, many articles of clothing, or the stereotypical costume, at least, are a brown-yellow colour, which is personally not the type of clothing I prefer the most. However, other designs have things like colourful patterns on them, making it more appealing to me.
There are many different Native American tribes such as the Cherokee and Sioux.

Africa:
From what I see, Africa has many outfits that are appealing for me, with bright colours and intricate patterns.
Africa has over 50 countries and even more ethnic groups, so it is very diverse.
The fashion of modern Africa will combine typical Western clothes with traditional decorations and patterns, making them appealing clothes for both Western and African tastes.
That's a beautiful dress!
This is definitely modern Africa. I think my favourite is the green shirt.
Purple is one of my favourite colors.

Russia:
Russia has many ethnic groups.
Here are women's clothing in Dagestan, Russia. The Dargin people are a Sunni Islamic group where women have many rights. You can see the elaborate... (I'm not sure of the term... chains?)
China and Japan:

But kimono doesn't need to make a comeback, because it is often worn as fashion in Japan.
